Garden Tour
The Greenmount Garden is part of Greenmount Campus CAFRE's estate, near Muckamore in County Antrim.
We were attracted to the location because of college's fine horticultural reputation and also because they offered us free range of their lovely landscaped grounds that includes the magnificent Richardson's Walled Garden.
The college also offered us our own plot in the middle of their estate from which The Greenmount Garden took root, providing us with a unique mix of fresh start gardening against a backdrop of the mature college grounds.
The Greenmount Garden is approx. 100m x 75m and when we first saw it, it was a gently sloping piece of land with mature trees, and grass with a small boggy bit.
Since then the site has been split into average back garden sized plots covering all aspects of gardening of interest to Northern Ireland gardeners.
